The Library and Better Life sponsored a Reading Challenge
There were 66 readers and around 366 books read.
Readers choosing to log their reading received incentives provided by Better Life.
I have completed the Public Library Survey, and would like to go over this at our next meeting. Our number of circulations and visitors looks pretty good.
The application for State Aid will come next and the Auditor assists me with both of these reports.
I have begun to update our Deselection, Collection Development Policies as well as the Rationale form. The last two work together if someone is interested in questioning the inclusion of an item in our collection. Please review as our first reading. We will do second and third at our next in-person meeting. I may be tweaking these policies as to formatting.
I have two students who have applied and will be working for the library this summer. Ali Buckmeir and Ashlyn Friebel. They will be official after April when they are actually legally old enough to work. I am anticipating Allison Skogen and Sophia Kennedy will also work. I will be utilizing them more upstairs in adult services as I am somewhat short staffed.
